View Full Version : Any advice on a good ambidextrous putter?

I hit my primarly clubs right-handed, but I'm finding that I putt better left-handed. This is probably because I played left-handed back in my hockey days.
As such, I'm still kind of playing with both right and left-handed putting to see which one I'm more comfortable with. To accomplish this, I'm using a little blade putter, like the kind you get at a putt-putt course.
Are there any decent putters that can be played either way? Most of the good putters have a slightly angled head, which means it can't work left-handed.
Any advice?

I ended up just buying a pretty nice lefty putter. It's taken some getting used to, but it works well. Don't recall the brand, though...

HAHA sounds like you like it. Do you putt with both hands or you want to learn?

I just putt left handed. It's working out pretty well, at least compared to the rest of my game.

Have you ever tried putting right handed?
Of course - I play all of my other shots right handed. It just feels more comfortable for me to putt left handed. It's very strange. :)

Sadly, that doesn't help your game...

That's an odd combination! You are right handed but putt left handed. I use to play tennis and I know mu under hand shot comes in handy sometimes. LOL! I'm glad that things worked out for you.

You may want to try a Railgun II putter (see www.railgun.com) Some golfers like to put the long putts right handed and the short putts left handed. Others like to putt left breaking putts right handed and right breaking putts left handed. The Dual faced Railgun II putter allows you to do both. Good luck.

The Railgun II putter is a precision made golf club - unique in it's design and perfectly balanced. As a tournament professional I am always looking for a putter that will give me an edge over my opponents - with my practice to date the Railgun II gives me that edge. I look forward to using the putter on the European PGA Seniors Tour in 2008
