I did a few things:

1) Get a driver with a giant club head. The bigger the club head, the bigger the sweet spot. I got a 400 cc driver and could tell right away that my slice was not as severe. I think the biggest they make now is 460 cc.

2) Swing easier. I used to try to kill the ball and I'd end up in the woods. I concentrated on a smoother, easier swing and that helped reduce my slice.

3) At the driving range, I laid club down on the ground as a template to help me square my feet and hips to the ball. That got me in the habit of addressing the ball properly.

All of these in combination have helped me take my awful slice and turn it into a slight fade. You'll be amazed at how much further the ball travels when you hit it straight!!!

The thing that helped me was learning what causes a slice to occur. It's simply when you club is coming at the ball from the outside, rather than straight on. I've attached a picture to explain what I mean.

Once I figured that out, the steps to correct it (as Beezer laid out) made a lot more sense.

I still slice somewhat, but I start my swing from the inside (slow drag back with a slight inside trajectory). I have to do that to compensate for the fact that I want to naturally twist to the left (most right handers do), and no amount of instruction has ever been able to correct that, at least with me. Note, that this only *minimizes* the problem, and it's most effective on the drive and fairway wood (I have a different iron motion, more of a scoop).

tilt right shoulder down like i'm pulling on your shirt that will create the inside approach keep driver 6 to 10 inches behind a higher teed up ball.. play ball off left big toe keep head behind the CLUB. BEND KNEES LIKE YOUR GOING TO CATCH A MEDICINE BALL and slowly take away like your using the medicus hinged club but always remember keep your left cheek always with any club in the bag behind the club head... :)
