one of my fellow caddies was out on the course with an older man. it was the 14th hole, and there is a pond on the left of the green. So before the man shot, the caddy, ran in the middle of the fairway and grabbed a turtle. It was crawling in the middle of the fairway. He ran to the pond and put it in the water. He went back to the man and they finished the 18 holes. After he was done, the caddymaster went and talked to him. Turns out he fired him for moving a turtle out of the fairway. What would you do if this was you?

Wow. That is pretty strict.

I'd fire him if it happened during a tournament or something. But not for just regular member play. That seems a bit harsh.

i dont even think i would fire him even if it was in a tournament. It is an obstacle that should have been moved. I think he was right to move it.

Wow, I hope the guy has another job lined up. I think the guy must be very caring since he felt the need to save the turtle. Also, he was trying to make sure the guy had a clear shot. LOL! I think that was a little harsh to fire the guy since it was regular game play.

He got fired for moving a turtle? Maybe if the things weren't so slow, it wouldn't of had to be moved :p

Oh, you saying that the turtle would have never been on the course if things were moving fast. LOL!
The balls would have chased him off the course.
