This is a pretty good course for the money. Not super expensive, but on the weekends it is crowded, so rounds can take a bit longer than normal. And they do allow walkers on the weekends, which typically slows up the play a bit. But over all it?s a great course. If you live in or around the ATL, you should definitely give this a try.
It's owned by the city along with Brown's Mill, North Fulton (Chastain) and I believe Charlie Yates (Exec).

Yeah, it's not a bad course. The best part (for me at least) was when we made the turn at there was a guy grilling burgers and hotdogs. I got a burger and it was amazing! Maybe I was just really hungry, but it was a sensational burger.
I played very poorly that day, so other than an insanely lucky shot on 13 (see my comments about that here (http://atlanta.golfnation.org/hole13)), I didn't have much good stuff happen that day other than the burger. :)

This was a pretty fun golf course. It is hilly and has some dog-legs on some of the longer holes. Pretty challenging and enjoyable. My brother-in-law and father-in-law all had wonderful things to say about the course. Well worth the money.
And yes, on the weekends it can get a little crowded and the walkers do slow down play a little. But if you get that afternoon shower, the walkers are gone. :p

Great story and it was funny! Was the guy on the greens selling burgers?

Seems like this is a popular course in the area. I played it when on a business trip to Atlanta and it was better than the other course I played way back in the day when I went there for the final four in I think 2001. Great course and yes it wasn't very expensive at all for the quality.
