This is on the mental side of techniques. Do you guys freeze up before a swing? I get real nervous and all of these negative thoughts start to enter my mind. I think this really affects my ability to play a good game. Any Suggestions?

Well, I tried thinking of a happy place but that don't work. I'm working on focusing and putting all of my thought in making the swing.

If you start getting those negative thoughts in your head then think of that Adam Sandler movie. That one golf one, Happy Gilmore! Remember the golf pro with the wooden hand, dancing to the music, calms Gilmore right away. You know Carl Weathers played the same character in Little Nicky, where he was the ex-golf pro who taught the angels how to dance? Repeat: Its all in the hips!

Here is the thing about golf that people miss all too often. It is a game that we are out there to have fun at. Bad or negative thoughts derive from bad habits. work on those habits and have fun.

I'm usually just concentrating on making a nice easy swing and not bowing up on the ball.
Hi guys I don’t know how many of you are having problems with your tempo (pace) around the green but I found a website that helped me. They have unique practice equipment that help me improve my putting and chipping. (www.yourgolfclubandmore.com)

Thats true, I had the same a month back. I was quite angry with one of the shop owner, he was just like about to ruined my game. I was asking for a pair of clubs, which l selected was not much pricey. But he was selling it at high price. I purchase that from another store, but that too was quite far away from my home. Since then i wanted to smash him, but due to that thinking i lost two games with my friends in the same week. Bad thinking impacts badly on your game.

I think confidence is the key that unlocks your potential in any sport. That comes with knowledge, and experience (practice).
The more you practice and play, the better you will get.
I don't know who said this, but it rings true..."IF YOU THINK YOU CAN, YOU CAN...IF YOU THINK YOU CAN'T, YOU'RE RIGHT!!!"
