Great idea! I've never been huge into golf video games, but there are some that I like. To be honest, my favorite is Mario Golf on the GameCube. Easy for new players to pick up and play, but there's still a good bit of skill involved.
I had Tiger Woods on my DS, but I didn't really care for it. I'd probably like it better on PC.
What are your favorites?

My favorites:
Hot Shots golf for PS2
Mario Golf for Game Cube
I just can't get into all the Tiger Woods golf games.
Oh!! And GOLDEN TEE!!!!!!!!!!!!!

i personally think the best game has got to be
real world golf
even comes with a gold club that you use to play!

I've seen that before, but never tried it. Most games like that with attachments tend to not work very well. This one is pretty good, though?

i do agree with you, i wasted £50 pounds buying eyetoy when it fast came out. utter rubbish. i was a bit spetical about buying this bout my gosh, what a great games, its so life like.
ofcourse thier are better games such as tiger woods, which has already been mentioned.
the best thing about it is that you can use a real golf club, which can be dangerous!

I've gotta think that the Tiger Woods on the Wii could be pretty sweet. The Wii sports golf has a ton of potential, but it's just a bit too sensitive. If they could refine the mechanics a bit and then add in the great TWG graphics/gameplay, it could be a excellent game.

To update, Tiger Woods is out on Wii. The reviews are pretty good, too. I might have to pick it up.

It's hard enough trying to hit a real golf club correctly. I can't imagine trying to swing an imaginary one correctly.

I think it's pretty cool, but I don't yet own one.
But the Wii Sports is pretty cool. Legend of Zelda is good.
Madden is awesome and I am undefeated when playing against other humans.

FYI, he's exactly 1-0. He beat me badly, despite having never played it before. It was pretty sad.

I have Tiger Woods 2009 for the Wii and really like it. As Michey states, it does take a little to get use to, but the Golf Tournaments and season are fantastic as a role playing game. I've made it past tour school and I am in my rookie season on tour.

Does anyone know if Microsoft is planning to expand the Links series? I think 2003 was the last year it was published. I love that course designer, but the modeling is quite a bit outdated compared to today's stuff. It would be neat to see it updated in full 3D, but with the same number of expandable courses.

I like to play all the Tiger Woods video games. I feel it really helps with my golf management aspect of my game. I know I cannot hit shots like these guys, but I have to take into account so many factors like lie, wind, wetness, firmness, elevation, the ball positioning, etc.... Accounting for everyone of these things before you take each shot helps you to make your best possible shot when you are out on the golf course in real life.
