Hi!
Can anyone tell me the difference between ladies golf clubs and gents golf clubs?? Are they shorter? I am a beginner and wondering what the difference is.

Are they shorter?
Typically, yes. They also tend to be a bit lighter and have more flex to them.

Look Here, They are Cheap Golf Clubs
Now golf is played on a wide area measured in hundreds of yards, and the distance to cover is intimidating all by itself to many players, especially women. Moving the golf ball of cheap golf clubs (http://www.onlinegolf118.com) 200+ yards is a matter of technique, but it is a subtle technique consisting of timing, and proper form. Even the beginner has a clubhead speed in excess of 60 mph! Of course in addition to distance you still have to find the ball, so accuracy cannot be neglected. ishiner

I know some people recommend you start out with ladies golf clubs but I really don't think you should (unless you are a lady of course). Just go straight to what you plan on using long term and get accustomed to that.
