My name is Jessica Graeler and I am helping with a golf tournament in Warrenton Missouri for this Saturday at 1:00 p.m. at the Warrenton Golf Course in Warrenton Missouri. The tournament is a memorial fundraiser to raise money for a headstone for Jim Starks who passed away on January 5, 2009 on a work accident. Jim Starks was a great part of the community and a great man. We decided to put together this golf tournament as he did not have life insurance and was self employed so the funds were not there for life insurance at the time. We have put up more then 400 flyers for this event and had a nice amount of players register but since there have been a few teams that have cancelled noting that the reason was they don't have the money, or loss of job, etc. We also had two teams from the same family call this morning and cancel due to the fact that they need to go out of town for a funeral.
I ask that you please forward this message along to anyone who plays golf as we are desperate for players at this point. The tournament is a great way to help this family and I hope to hear back from you. I have attached all the details on the tournament and ask for anyone who would like to play to call me and let me know. We set the tournament as a four man scramble but are not even asking for full teams at this point, we can put you on a team with other players or let you know with three players.
It costs $70.00 per person to play and that includes your game, cart, beer and soda and bbq at the end of the game. We will have raffles and 50/50's during the game.
